Machine Operator - 1st Shift - Otay Mesa - $20/hr

Job Description

As a Manufacturing Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production process. Your responsibilities will include trimming excess rubber, inspecting parts for defects, painting grooves in parts with glue using small brushes, and operating molding machinery.

Responsibilities

+ Trim excess rubber from parts.

+ Inspect parts for defects to ensure quality.

+ Apply glue to grooves in parts using small brushes.

+ Perform molding tasks as required.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in handling small parts and general production tasks.

+ Ability to use hand tools effectively.

+ Minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ Capability to stand or sit for extended periods.

+ Experience in operating machinery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience in a similar manufacturing role is an advantage.

Work Environment

This position is based in a large, open manufacturing setting that is clean and safe. Employees work in a collaborative environment with a total of 67 people on the first shift, 40 on the second shift, and 5 on the third shift. The facility includes a machine shop, molding, bonding (machine presses), and warehouse areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
