Job Title: Pipefitter
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in reading blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, as well as the ability to select and assemble pipe materials according to specifications. This role involves preparing, cutting, fabricating, and assembling piping components, as well as installing and testing piping systems to ensure quality.
Responsibilities
+ Read blueprints and specifications to determine work scope, including locations, quantities, and material specifications.
+ Select the appropriate type and size of pipe, materials, and equipment as per specifications.
+ Cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes.
+ Prepare, cut, fabricate, layout, fit, position, and assemble piping components in various positions.
+ Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them for welding.
+ Install hangers, supports, valves, and components according to piping system plans and specifications.
+ Perform leak tests to ensure the quality and integrity of piping systems.
+ Identify and use necessary tools such as grinders, drills, and beveling machines.
+ Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
+ Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in pipe fitting and blueprint reading.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and instructions.
+ Understanding of weld symbols, weld procedures, and mechanical/structural drawings.
+ Experience using Oxy/fuel and Plasma hand cutting torches, as well as plasma cutting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with codes such as B31.3, B31.4, and API 1104.
+ Welding and/or tacking experience using the GTAW process.
+ Familiarity with weld inspections and inspection documentation.
+ NCCER Certification as an Industrial Pipe Fitter.
+ Formal/technical education in a relevant field.

Work Environment
Work will be conducted onsite at various new construction and industrial sites. The schedule is typically 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Initial travel is required until local projects commence, with occasional travel expected thereafter, not exceeding three-week periods. Travel beyond 50 miles is compensated with a per diem.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
