Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician
Job Description
The Electro-Mechanical Technician combines knowledge of mechanical technology with knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits. They operate, test, and maintain unmanned, automated, robotic, or electromechanical equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
+ Diagnose, troubleshoot, and correct electrical and mechanical problems.
+ Perform all prescribed preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
+ Actively participate in company safety programs, including safety inspections, safety observations, and JSA risk assessments.
+ Repair and troubleshoot thermoforming and extrusion equipment.
+ Fulfill electrician or mechanical duties on the Fire Brigade/HazMat Teams.
+ Operate safely all related shop equipment.
+ Maintain neat and organized documentation and input Work Orders and SAP.
+ Operate forklifts and yard equipment to support plant emergencies.
+ Ensure work meets high standards of competent craftsmanship and professionalism in terms of quality, proficiency, efficiency, and material utilization.
+ Conduct food safety and defense self-inspections and report on deficiencies.
+ Perform other related work as assigned by the Supervisor.
Essential Skills
+ Troubleshooting skills.
+ Experience with PLCs such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Slicks.
+ Leadership skills with the ability to lead without direct reports.
+ At least ten years of industrial experience in an electrical and mechanical environment.
+ Proficiency in using electrical and mechanical tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Two-year Associate's Degree or graduation from a Licensed Apprentice Program.

Work Environment
The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme temperatures, and occasional wet or humid conditions. Employees work near high, precarious places and in outdoor weather conditions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
