    Job Title: Set Up Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Set Up Technician to join our team. This role involves training on 1st shift and transitioning to a 2nd shift. Candidates will receive on-the-job training for CNC machinery, focusing on set-ups, changeovers, and minor troubleshooting on CNC mills and lathes. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to engage hands-on with machinery to support operators.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform set-ups and changeovers on CNC lathes and mills.

    + Troubleshoot minor issues with CNC machinery.

    + Learn and operate various types of CNC machinery within the facility.

    + Act as the first line of defense for operators when issues arise with machines.

    + Conduct run-offs to ensure machinery is functioning correctly.

    + Utilize hand and power tools for machine maintenance.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and part prints.

    + Change speeds, feeds, and ensure tolerances are met.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with CNC lathe set-up (experience with mills is acceptable, but lathe experience is required).

    + Proficiency in CNC changeover processes.

    + Ability to read and interpret prints and part prints.

    + Experience with changing speeds, feeds, and ensuring tolerances.

    + Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience using calipers and micrometers.

    + Familiarity with injection molders, CNC machinery, drills, or presses.

    + Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, such as tinkering or disassembling machinery.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a medium-sized manufacturing company specializing in automotive and agriculture parts, with 50-60 employees on site. The facility is clean and continuously upgrading. The position starts with training on the 1st shift and transitions to a 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM). While overtime is not common, it may occasionally be required. The company maintains a strict attendance policy. Dress code includes jeans, a shirt, close-toe shoes, eye and ear protection. Employees can use one earbud while working, provided they can still hear others and machines.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of **New Haven, Indiana.**

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
