Job Title: Material Handling Associate

Job Description

As a Material Handling Associate, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, supplies, and tools while maintaining accurate stock records in a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Your role will include verifying incoming articles against requisitions or invoices, marking identifying codes on items, and operating forklifts to move materials efficiently. Additionally, you will load and operate the stress relieving oven and perform daily and weekly TPM tasks with precision. You will also manage inventory and supply workers with the necessary materials while demonstrating knowledge of MRP transaction performance.

Responsibilities

+ Receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, supplies, and tools.

+ Compile and maintain accurate stock records.

+ Verify receipt of items by counting, sorting, or weighing incoming articles.

+ Mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles.

+ Operate gas or electric powered forklift trucks for material handling.

+ Properly load and operate the stress relieving oven.

+ Perform daily and weekly TPM tasks accurately and consistently.

+ Inventory materials and supply workers with necessary items.

+ Demonstrate knowledge of MRP transaction performance, including issues and receipts.

Essential Skills

+ 1 year of prior material handling and inventory experience.

+ Knowledge of inventory management and order picking.

+ Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Vocational or high school education or equivalent.

+ On-the-job training to learn trade techniques and procedures.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $51125.00 - $54080.00/yr.
