Job Title: Mill Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a CNC Mill Set-up Technician to join our team for the day shift from 7am to 3:30pm. This role demands a skilled individual capable of setting up and operating CNC and machining centers to fabricate precision machined parts. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art machinery in a progressive and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and operate CNC machining equipment to fabricate precision machined metallic and non-metallic parts.
+ Handle short run, precision CNC machining and be responsible for first runs.
+ Specialize in setting up mill turn sub spindle live tooling lathes with minimal supervision.
+ Work closely with programming and manufacturing managers to provide feedback on cycle time reduction and machine optimization.
+ Provide guidance and instruction to other machine operators and machinists as assigned.
+ Collaborate with other departments to integrate machining, CNC programming, engineering, inspection, and manufacturing processes.
+ Monitor and maintain machine coolants, lubricants, and fluids, and coordinate with maintenance for necessary services.
+ Submit first piece articles to the inspection department for verification before proceeding with production.
Essential Skills
+ Intermediate to journeyman level CNC mill machining experience.
+ Proficiency in operating vertical and horizontal CNC machines.
+ Understanding of CAD, CAM software, and CNC programming.
+ Strong sense of urgency and process orientation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with 5-axis CNC mills is a plus.
+ Knowledge of Mastercam and Renishaw probe systems.
+ Familiarity with Mazak CNCs is advantageous but not required.
+ Willingness to adapt to established processes.

Work Environment
Work in a clean machining facility equipped with over 10 CNC machines, with two more under construction. A clean room and QC area are being added. The day shift team comprises five programmers/machinists, fostering a collaborative atmosphere. The facility is modern, having been in operation for just two years.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
