    Job Title: Quality Manager

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Manager to lead our 13-person quality team, which includes Inspectors, CMM Programmers, Documentation Specialists, and Engineers. This role is a strategic and hands-on leadership position, with a strong emphasis on documentation, compliance, audits, and customer interface. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards, and driving continuous improvement across the organization. This is a high-impact role that interfaces with internal teams, customers, vendors, and auditors.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead and develop the Quality department to meet company goals.

    + Maintain and improve the QMS in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer requirements.

    + Manage internal, third-party, and supplier audits.

    + Interface with customers regarding quality concerns, deviations, and engineering changes.

    + Oversee documentation including ballooned drawings, SPC charts, PFMEAs, control plans, and more.

    + Support new product reviews and ensure proper documentation and gaging.

    + Champion scrap reduction and cost-of-quality initiatives.

    + Act as the company’s corporate quality contact and local management representative.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted.

    + 5–7 years of experience as a Quality Manager in a machining environment.

    + Strong knowledge of AS9100 (required); aerospace experience preferred.

    + Proficiency in GD&T, gauging methodology, and CMM programming and supporting software.

    + Familiarity with NADCAP requirements is a plus.

    + Experience with E2 (JobBOSS²) is a bonus.

    + Proven ability to lead teams, drive change, and implement quality improvements.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Decatur, Alabama.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
