Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for performing advanced production activities on various types of saws, including vertical and horizontal. You will review work orders and specifications, select appropriate materials, and position work pieces for processing. This role requires operating a combination of machines, installing and aligning cutting blades, adjusting controls, and performing in-process quality inspections per AS 9100 standards.
Responsibilities
+ Review work orders, tooling instructions, or other written specifications.
+ Select correct materials for the job according to work orders.
+ Position work pieces for processing and operate a combination of different saws.
+ Determine processing specifications such as materials, cuts, sizes, and tolerances.
+ Install and align cutting blades or other fixtures using hand tools and gauges.
+ Adjust controls to set cutting speed, depth, and feed rates.
+ Operate saws during processing as required.
+ Measure and examine pieces using precision instruments like calipers and micrometers.
+ Perform in-process quality inspections and ensure compliance with AS 9100 standards.
+ Clean equipment according to designated maintenance procedures.
+ Diagnose problems, make necessary adjustments, and remove scrap from machines.
+ Coordinate and execute material handling and restock materials.
+ Complete work order paperwork and documentation.
+ Mark identification on materials before and after processing.
+ Store materials for additional processing and/or shipping.
+ Adhere to safety and quality standards.
+ Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Essential Skills
+ 1 year of machine operation experience
+ 1 year of warehouse experience
+ Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
+ Basic measurement and arithmetic skills
+ Basic computer proficiency
+ Manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School diploma/GED preferred
+ Experience in warehousing and material handling
+ Experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting saws
+ Experience with overhead crane operation
+ Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
+ Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and co-workers

Work Environment
This position operates in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment with a focus on aerospace quality. The hours are Monday to Friday from 1pm to 9:30pm, with training on the day shift before transitioning to a swing shift starting in 2026.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fife, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
