Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with a strong experience in industrial maintenance. This role requires expertise in pneumatics, conveyor belts, and small hand-tool repair. The ideal candidate will have over three years of industrial maintenance experience, primarily focusing on mechanical tasks with basic electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain company assets to ensure 100% utilization, productive ROI, and a safe, clean, and secure environment.

+ Perform weekly and daily checks, especially for conveyor systems, and maintain the dust collection system.

+ Play a lead role in the safety team, supporting safety initiatives and goals.

+ Ensure proper maintenance of property, including organized storage areas and proper disposal of trash.

+ Dispose of hazardous waste following DEP and EPA guidelines, including spent scrap metal, chemicals, oil, and sand.

+ Gain a thorough understanding of machinery and equipment, including sand systems, molding machines, air systems, saws, grinders, and welding tools.

+ Prepare and initiate a preventative maintenance schedule for each asset.

+ Identify and facilitate cost-saving measures by exploring new materials, vendors, and better production processes.

+ Ensure patterns, flasks, and other tooling used in production are properly maintained.

Essential Skills

+ Industrial maintenance experience with a focus on pneumatics and conveyor systems.

+ Ability to troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and utilize pneumatic systems.

+ Lock-out and tag-out procedures knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience managing projects independently on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.

+ Foundry experience is a plus.

+ Welding experience is a plus.

+ Sand casting experience is ideal.

Work Environment

Work in a facility that can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, with fans set up at every station for comfort. Although there are no direct reports, you will be an integral part of a team of mechanics.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
