1st shift - 7am to 3:30pm, $19.00/hour
2nd shift - 3:15 to 11:45pm, $19.75/hour
Both Monday- Friday, contract-to-hire
Job Description
As a Quality Technician, you will perform crucial technical tasks related to quality control and inspection. This role involves approximately four hours of microscope inspection daily, alongside testing and documentation tasks. Proficiency in Excel and multitasking is essential. You will conduct dimensional and mechanical inspections, with a preference for candidates familiar with calipers and micrometers. While blueprint reading is preferred, it is not mandatory. Strong computer skills are required.
Responsibilities
+ Perform visual inspection of Micro-electronic, small parts using a microscope
+ Use a micrometer, caliper, depth gauge, and other measuring tools.
+ Read blueprints or mechanical diagrams
+ Must be able to complete proper inspection documentation
Essential Skills
+ 2 years’ experience as a technician in a manufacturing environment.
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Ability to use a micrometer, caliper, depth gauge, and other measuring tools.
+ Skill in using a computer, especially Microsoft Excel
+ Able to read and write in English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to use a microscope for extended periods of time
+ Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings/blueprints is preferred.
+ Willingness to wear cleanroom apparel.
+ Ability to perform visual inspection.

Work Environment
You will work in a cleanroom environment, requiring specific attire. The role demands physical activity, including standing or sitting for extended periods, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 25 pounds. You should be comfortable moving about the plant and handling small parts or tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75/hr.
