Job Title: Process Technician
Job Description
As a Process Technician, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of various technologies such as Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Through Hole, Hand Soldering, and PCBAs rework. You will familiarize yourself with industry standards and learn to operate specialized equipment to ensure quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
+ Understand and apply knowledge of SMT, Through Hole, Hand Soldering, and PCBAs technologies.
+ Familiarize with industry standards like IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, and IPC 7711/7721.
+ Operate rework and X-ray equipment for troubleshooting circuit boards.
+ Inspect PCBs to ensure quality standards are met.
+ Assist in validating tooling and fixtures.
+ Configure manufacturing software for components, assemblies, and work orders.
+ Create Manufacturing Instructions using software like Valor, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
+ Expand component library using Valor's VLM module.
+ Optimize SMT equipment programming for various devices.
+ Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
+ Demonstrate work methods to support new hire training.
+ Execute instructions given by a supervisor and report task results.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with safety standards.
+ Follow standard operating procedures and quality control guidelines.
Essential Skills
+ Understanding of electronics or manufacturing processes.
+ Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
+ Good communication and teamwork skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
+ Proficient computer skills.
+ Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
+ Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and bills of material.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preferred minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or inspection environment.
+ Experience with IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, IPC 7711/7721, and J-STD-001.
+ Knowledge of components and their polarity, including resistors and capacitors.
+ Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Preferred 2-year or technical degree.

Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing environment with available day shifts from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and swing shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. The position requires adherence to safety standards and maintaining a clean workspace.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Nevada.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.50/hr.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Carson City,NV.
