Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all industrial equipment. This includes performing preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing technical solutions. The role involves maintaining converting equipment and lines to ensure continuous operation and participating in manufacturing process improvement initiatives. The use of precision measuring equipment, such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters, is essential.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct maintenance on all industrial equipment, including conveyors, photo eye sensors, packaging equipment, labelers, cappers, and various other machinery.
+ Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly.
+ Ensure continuous operation of converting equipment and lines.
+ Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
+ Perform repairs and implement technical solutions as needed.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors.
+ Proficiency in working with 3-phase motors.
+ Comfortable with changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves.
+ Experience in troubleshooting, mechanical repair, preventive maintenance, and electrical tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in GMP or Food Manufacturing is a plus.
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ 3+ years of experience in a GMP environment preferred.
+ Computer proficiency in MS Office.
+ 5 years of related manufacturing experience in an FDA facility preferred, but 3 years of experience in a non-FDA facility is acceptable.

Work Environment
The facility operates nearly a million square feet of production and distribution centers, running around the clock five days a week. As a liquid filling facility, it prefers candidates with a experience in liquid filling or packaging, especially from the food and beverage industry due to FDA regulations. Be prepared for strong odors depending on the department, such as those from mouthwash, lotion, or alcohol.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
