Manufacturing Utilities Technician
Day Shift Hours: 7:00am-7:00pm
Alternating Schedule: 3-2-2 alternating weekends
Pay: $35-40; negotiable
Description
This is a major food and beverage manufacturing company that provides end to end packaging solutions. We have partnered with a company to manufacture their products at our facility. We are looking to hire a Utilities Lead Technician that will run a team of 2-3 technicians at our new section of our facility.
Responsibilities:
-Operate and maintain utilities systems such as boilers, chillers, compressors, nitrogen generators, RO water systems, and HVAC units to ensure an uninterrupted
supply of essential services for the manufacturing facility.
-Manage and execute the Preventative Maintenance program.
-Perform routine inspections and tests on utilities and wastewater treatment equipment.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and environmental health and safety.
-Conduct regular inspections of utilities equipment, identifying and addressing potential issues or inefficiencies to prevent disruptions to manufacturing operations.
-Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines when handling chemicals and operating equipment, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
-Handle and manage the use of strong chemicals, including acids, alkalis, and disinfectants, following strict safety protocols, and ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal to prevent hazardous incidents and maintain a safe working environment.
-Participate in emergency response protocols and spill containment procedures to minimize environmental impacts in case of accidents or system failures.

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr.
