    Job Title: Toolmaker

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our dynamic team. This role involves using advanced knowledge of GD&T to interpret blueprints and collect geometric data through laser tracking with model-based software. You will provide analysis and direction for operations, integrating process monitoring with fabrication processes and understanding the effects of environmental factors on large structures.

    Responsibilities

    + Use in-depth familiarity of GD&T to interpret blueprints at all assembly levels.

    + Collect geometric data via laser tracker through model-based software such as Verisurf.

    + Establish and apply reference systems for tasks, installing them both on and off the part.

    + Provide analysis of collected data and evaluate it to provide direction for remaining operations.

    + Integrate process monitoring with the fabrication process to locate both welding details and machining details.

    + Understand and apply the fabrication process and environmental effects on large structures.

    + Effectively communicate with fabricators, machinists, assemblers, engineers, and other relevant parties.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Millwright skills and abilities in industrial multi-craft and mechanical trades.

    + Two-year degree (associate or technical).

    + Experience with model-based metrology.

    + Experience analyzing data and generating data reports.

    + Experience with Verisurf.

    + Experience using inspection equipment such as micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, and laser trackers.

    + Solid understanding of geometric relationships.

    + Understanding of the manufacturing process of large structures.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude.

    + Ability to visualize 3D space and integrate complex geometries.

    + Proficiency in using a variety of software for observation and analysis.

    + Demonstrated leadership and dependability.

    + Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.

    + Problem-solving through diverse thinking.

    + Commitment to maintaining safety on the job site.

    Work Environment

     

    This is a 1st shift position from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, primarily in a fabrication shop with some fieldwork required. There is ample opportunity for overtime.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Cocoa, Florida.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
