Job Title: Production Team Leader

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Team Leader to oversee our molding operations. You will be responsible for studying staffing schedules, estimating machine assignments, and ensuring safety regulations are followed. Your role will involve interpreting specifications and job orders for workers, assigning duties, and recommending production improvements.

Responsibilities

+ Study staffing schedules and estimate machine assignments.

+ Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.

+ Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, and take timely action for non-compliance.

+ Assign duties to 10 to 12 workers in Molding, adhering to company policies and laws.

+ Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.

+ Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in production management and supervision.

+ Strong team management skills.

+ Proficiency in molding and machine safety.

+ Knowledge of quality control and operational training development.

+ Leadership experience in team settings.

+ Supervisory skills with a focus on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to operate a computer and printer.

+ Competence in using small tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and calipers.

+ Proficiency in reading and setting various gauges and scales.

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.

+ Strong mathematical skills, including computing rate, ratio, and percentage.

+ Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions.

Work Environment

This role involves working near moving mechanical parts with exposure to electrical shock risks and vibration. Occasionally, you may work in high places or be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is typically moderate, and you will be required to stand, walk, and handle various physical activities during your shift. The position is on the 2nd shift from 2:48 pm to 11 pm, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $49920.00/yr.
