Job Title: Assembly Worker - 1st/2nd Shift
Job Description
Join our team as an Assembly Worker where you will play a critical role in assembling high-quality products. You will gather necessary blueprints, routing sheets, and tools to efficiently assemble products, ensuring they meet all required specifications.
Responsibilities
+ Gather blueprints, routing sheets, and related tools to assemble products.
+ Move parts to the assembly area from storage racks.
+ Fasten parts together using bolts, screws, speed clips, or other fasteners.
+ Use blueprints and specifications to guide assembly operations.
+ Assemble parts into repair kits and switches; package and move products to the shipping department.
+ Inspect products prior to packaging and return rejected items to production.
+ Observe packaging operations and verify containers meet specifications.
+ Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
+ Record the number of products packaged and relevant information.
+ Operate a pallet jack to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
+ Pack parts properly to prevent damage during transportation to the next operation.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical assembly and proficiency with hand tools.
+ Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions and technical documents.
+ Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
+ Problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret technical instructions.
+ Experience reading blueprints, routing sheets, and test specifications.
+ Ability to maintain production rates and quality standards.
+ Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Basic understanding of ISO 9001 standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Nine to eighteen months of related experience and/or training.
+ Effective communication skills for interactions with shipping clerks and assembly personnel.

Work Environment
Work in an open production environment with excellent lighting throughout the building. Some workstations may be louder due to machinery, but the overall environment is clean and organized.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Mankato, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
