Description

A reputable and growing company in Rancho Santa Fe is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys accuracy, organization, and teamwork in a supportive and fast-paced environment. You’ll take ownership of payroll processing from start to finish, ensuring every employee is paid correctly and on time. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, confidentiality, and a genuine passion for numbers.

• Key Responsibilities:

+ Process biweekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees with accuracy and timeliness.

+ Maintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws.

+ Review and reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.

+ Manage deductions, garnishments, and benefits-related adjustments.

+ Support HR and Accounting teams with payroll data, audits, and reporting.

+ Stay current with payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

+ 3+ years of experience in payroll processing (multi-state payroll preferred).

+ Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, or similar).

+ Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws, taxes, and payroll compliance.

+ Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

+ Excellent organizational and communication skills.
