    Role Summary/Purpose:

    As a leader within the Growth Governance and Excellence (GGE) organization, the **VP, Growth Control Effectiveness and Optimization** will be responsible for providing program management support for Growth governance routines, specifically related to control reviews, builds and effectiveness assessments of Growth's L3 Processes and documentation. The position will specifically work in coordination with process owners as they conduct their risk controls self-assessment and when an issue requires review of controls to make ensure that controls within the Growth Process Universe are appropriate and fully documented. This role will also identify trends across various controls and processes, and with that insight, have the ability to influence Process Owners and help fireproof the Growth landscape.

     

    The successful candidate for this role is a leader with strong communication skills, the ability to manage through influence, and prior experience with control building, testing, monitoring and reporting. This role will have a high level of visibility and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    + Support and execute assessments of Growth controls, inclusive of initial design and improvements.

    + Act as an expert in the review, design, and planning for process owners as they build, modify, or retire controls

    + Proactively engage with Growth leadership and L3 Owners to drive awareness of control design and effectiveness, and potential weaknesses within Growth. Reviewing the up and downstream impacts critically to ensure controls are appropriate for the risk.

    + Ensure that controls completely and accurately mitigate risks for regulatory requirements that apply to the L3, and for operational risk categories that are assessed as a very high or high.

    + Identify opportunities for control enhancements, particularly to incorporate automation, full population testing, and/or other analytical reporting and capabilities into preventative and detective controls.

    + Partner with Growth Process Owners to support Growth teams in process reviews.

    + Effectively review and challenge controls documented within Process Risk Control reports.

    + Ability to analyze control environments and issue root causes to draw conclusions for themes or potential limitations and make recommendations for new controls or control enhancements.

    + Lead a team supporting the Growth Enterprise Governance team

    + Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    + Bachelor's Degree, or in lieu of a high school diploma/GED and 8+ years' experience in developing, documenting and testing controls.

    + 5+ years' experience leading and supporting cross-functional initiatives.

    + 2+ years' experience in technical writing skills, policy/procedural in nature.

    + 2+ years direct experience in a role requiring communicating with senior levels of management in a regulated environment.

    + Strong presentation and communication skills with a demonstrated business presence while interacting with senior leaders.

    + General knowledge of Growth operations, objectives, strategies, and processes

    Desired Characteristics:

    + Expert verbal and written communicator, with ability to modulate content based on audience.

    + Strong problem-solving skills.

    + Proven experience with partnering, collaborating and influencing across a large multilayered organization at all levels.

    + Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

    + Demonstrate strong risk management mindset and behavior.

     

    Grade/Level: 12

     

    The salary range for this position is **110,000.00 - 185,000.00** USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

     

    Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

     

    Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    + You must be 18 years or older

    + You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

    + You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

    + You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

    + New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
