    Job Title: Electrician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Electrician to optimize electrical systems within our manufacturing processes, enhancing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires applying Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement techniques to identify and resolve electrical bottlenecks, reduce waste, and maintain documentation for electrical installations and safety protocols.

    Responsibilities

    + Optimize electrical systems within existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

    + Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement techniques to identify electrical bottlenecks and failure points and to reduce waste.

    + Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot electrical-related production issues and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.

    + Create and maintain electrical installation, test, and other documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications. Ensure SOPs are up to date for all electrical installations and safety protocols.

    + Provide technical training for production staff on electrical installation and processes. Ensure staff are trained on safe practices when working with electrical systems.

    + Ensure electrical processes adhere to safety standards and promote a safety-first culture.

    + Provide electrical expertise and recommendations to various departments, assisting with equipment selection, installation, and system improvements to align with production goals.

    + Participate in continuous improvement projects across cross-functional teams and multi-site operations to ensure best practices.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong troubleshooting abilities and experience in conducting root cause analysis.

    + Proficiency in Electrical PLC, including reviewing blueprints and collaborating with Engineers on product design.

    + Expertise in electronic control systems and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.

    + Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, schematics, and Bills of Materials.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle data and make data-driven decisions.

    + 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Specialist, Electrical Engineer, or Electrical Systems Manager within a manufacturing environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Journeyman Electrical certificate will be considered.

    + Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant process improvement frameworks are preferred.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with various departments.

    + Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

    + Knowledge of CAD and electrical design tools for creating schematics, system simulations, and equipment layout.

    Work Environment

     

    This position requires the physical ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed, and climb portable ladders. Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required. The role necessitates good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination. You will work in a modern, air-conditioned manufacturing facility with industry 4.0 technology.

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
