    **Position Title:** Traveling Landscape Technician

    **Location:** Based in Urbandale, Iowa

    **Schedule:** Monday–Friday travel throughout Iowa; return to Des Moines each Friday — home every weekend

    **Compensation:** $20–$22/hour

    Position Overview:

    We are currently seeking a Traveling Landscape Technician to support stormwater inspections and maintenance across commercial properties throughout Iowa and neighboring states. This year-round role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on outdoor work, light construction tasks, and traveling to new job sites. Per diem and lodging are provided for travel days. The position offers consistent hours, advancement opportunities, and the chance to be part of a mission-driven team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Visit 25–30 commercial sites monthly to inspect and maintain stormwater infrastructure

    + Monitor construction activity near ponds, drainage areas, and water features

    + Perform mowing, trimming, debris removal, and light repair work

    + Operate landscaping and light construction equipment

    + Travel regionally using a company-provided truck (lodging and per diem included)

    Qualifications:

    + 1–2 years of experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance

    + Familiarity with landscaping tools and stormwater systems

    + Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

    + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

    + Physically capable of bending, kneeling, lifting, and working on uneven terrain

    + Willingness to travel 10–12 nights per month (Monday–Friday)

    + Must pass back ground check and drug screening

    Additional Information:

    + $59 daily per diem plus lodging for travel days

    + 40–50 hours per week with potential for overtime

    + All PPE provided (candidates must bring lace-up leather work boots)

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.00/hr.
