**Pay Rate** :
$137,400 -$183,200
_Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range._

The Job You Will Perform:
This is a Lead Team position reporting to the Mill Manager and is the top leadership position of the paper mill operation. The selected candidate will provide overall leadership and direction for all activities concerning the safe and efficient operation of the OCC pulp mill, the papermill, inbound and outbound operations.
+ Overall responsibility for the OCC plant as well as the paper machine operations.
+ Leads efforts in key focus areas including production and cost efficiencies, safety, reliability, team member engagement and environmental to achieve or exceed targeted performance.
+ Champions safety efforts resulting in superior performance by modeling and maintaining an environment of safe work practices and a proactive approach to safety management.
+ Provides leadership and resources to support engagement and a high performance work team. Champions the IP Way and the one-to-one process.
+ Ensures utilization of manufacturing systems including Trouble/Cause/Correction (TCC) and center-lining.
+ Clearly communicates and demonstrates quality principles and processes.
+ Help develop, demonstrate and support an organizational culture based upon values of empowerment, high involvement and participative work force in customer and quality focused organization.
+ Strategic planning for improved performance and the efficient management of resources during machine outages and upgrades
+ Performance management and development of salaried and hourly team members. Ability to set clear expectations and standards of performance through effective one-on-one performance evaluations and discussions.
+ Ensure operator training and certification processes are maintained and utilized for employee development as well as support of FLL Certification process.
+ Fullfill area specific 5S expectations(5S Checklists,Replenishment of tools and supplies, 5S Audits,etc)
+ **Physical Demands/Working Environment:**
+ Must be able to wear all required safety equipment.
+ Noise levels in excess of 90 dB.
+ Ability to work in temperatures in excess of 100°F and less than 32°F occasionally and/or seasonably as needed
+ Working environment is 24/7—ability to be on-call as needed and/or required.
+ Some High Stress Situations
+ Interaction with Senior Leadership
+ Ability to work on concrete, and periodically move equipment/tools weighing up to 70lbs
+ Ability to sit and perform deskwork type activities, including computer work, up to 8 hours a day.
The Skills You Will Bring:
+ Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering or Pulp & Paper Science
+ Proven track record of leadership success in a manufacturing environment
+ Experience working in and improving papermill operations
+ Strong knowledge of and experience implementing Manufacturing Excellence principles
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving, negotiation, presentation and training delivery skills.
+ Preferred experience in strategic planning and budgeting process as well high performance work systems.
