Job Description
**Job Title:** Foundation and Community Care Intern
**Location:** Various
**Department:** The Wawa Foundation/Community Care
**Job Summary** **:** The Community Care and Wawa Foundation Intern supports the Community Care and The Wawa Foundation teams in delivering events that support National Partners and the community, provides support for volunteer programs, and provides administrative support for The Wawa Foundation and Community Care teams.
Principal Duties:
+ Support team in all tasks related to the planning and execution of National Partner events, local charity events, and community elements of Welcome America.
+ Support the Community Care team with charity events, including preparation of supplies, event setup and breakdown, product distribution, and organization of volunteers on site.
+ Maintain Community Care supplies and equipment including sound systems, podiums, and giveaways.
+ Support the department in the management of Wawa promotional vehicles, including preparing and driving to and from events.
+ Assist with the loading and unloading of Community Care vehicles as needed
+ Track, manage, and report on responses for Community Care and local charity events through the Community Care mailbox.
+ Support the Foundation administrator with all inquiries received through The Wawa Foundation inbox and printing Board materials as needed.
+ Research as requested to support growth, The Wawa Foundation Hero Award and other key issue grants as needed.

+ Detail-oriented with strong organization and time management skills
+ Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
+ Positive attitude with a focus on customer service
+ High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
+ Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
+ Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to attend events at different times, nights and weekends with potential overnight stays
+ Must be able to perform physical activity lifting up to 40 lbs.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration or major in Marketing, Communications, Events Management or a related field preferred
+ Proficient PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Mail Merge, email, and internet research)
+ Valid driver’s license and ability to drive larger vehicles (promotional vehicles)
+ Understanding of Wawa’s culture and values
