Summary:
Sevan is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Contracts Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for negotiating and administering agreements between Sevan and its customers, subcontractors, consultants and vendors to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. In this position the individual must demonstrate an ability to proactively manage contractual relationships from conception to termination and maintain positive working relationships with both internal customers and external points of contact. This role will work with the SVP of Legal to expand competency and understanding of contract document content, structure, and development throughout the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Provide expert advice on contract terms and administration to stakeholders to support informed decision making and improve future contract outcomes.
+ Establish and maintain appropriate stakeholder and supplier relationships to identify and minimize risk, resolve issues as they arise, and maximize the value of the contract.
+ Proactively identify, manage and advise on commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical and supply chain risks associated with the contract, to enable the organization to attain maximum value from the contract while meeting compliance requirements.
+ Prepare, negotiate, and administer contracts, subcontracts, consultant agreements, NDAs, Master Services Agreements and other agreements as needed between the company and customers, subcontractors, and/or vendors, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
+ Review contract terms, interpret agreement terms and conditions, and identify areas of concern, and provide contractual advice, guidance, and support to the internal stakeholders
+ Lead, manage and develop contract administration and licensing staff to provide high quality contract management and licensing services to the organization.
+ Assist with RFI-s, RPP-s and the proposal preparation process.
+ Responsible for entry and maintenance of all department documents, including compliance with established naming conventions, entry & upkeep of department tracking logs.
+ Prepare contractual documents, including the preparation of contract terms and conditions, and assemble contract documentation package.
+ Prepare legal documents, contracts, leases, corporate documents and other transactional matters.
+ Maintain and improve internal contract lifecycle management tools.
+ Perform data research and provide recommendations to the supervising attorney.
+ Perform special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor-s degree or equivalent experience; Master-s degree or JD preferred.
+ 8+ years of experience in a similar role; contract compliance or contract life-cycle management preferred.
+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
+ Effective oral and written communications, including business writing.
+ Analytical reasoning and problem solving.
+ Experience in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (-AEC-) industry strongly preferred.
+ Experience managing a team utilizing industry best business practices for contracts.
+ Experience with business and professional licensing including architectural, engineering, general contracting and trade licensing.

Pay & Benefits:
The anticipated compensation range for the position is $85,000 to $110,000, is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and a matching 401K plan.
Work Conditions & Travel:
This is a hybrid in-office / remote role located in our Downers Grove, IL headquarters. A highly collaborative in-office environment that flourishes when individual and team contributions combine to achieve target goals and objectives. The workplace is dynamic, fast-paced, and flexible. Travel on an as needed basis (0-10%). Regularly required to sit; occasionally required to stand; walk; occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
