    The Sr. Electronics Engineering Technician will support new product design teams through test development, data analysis and competitor benchmarking. You will independently plan and create test fixtures, configure products for testing, log the measurements for data collection/ graphing, and troubleshoot, repair, and modify circuit board assemblies focusing on the chargers and live batteries. You will assist in the maintenance of lab equipment and operating procedures, as well as being a resource for entry-level technicians.

    You’ll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

    + Test chargers and batteries in methods that are consistent with best practices for lithium ion charging systems.

    + Performing hands on mechanical testing of batteries and tools.

    + Collect data through various equipment and software programs.

    + Perform tests per work instructions and other procedures.

    + Prepare reports of test results and make recommendations as needed.

    + Provide updates to Engineers on projects.

    + Create and edit documents using the Microsoft software suite.

    + Manage lab space -- tools/parts/work surfaces/consumable materials.

    + Move between lab spaces to execute and monitor testing.

    What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

    + Associates degree in Engineering Technology or High School diploma accompanied by 4+ years of experience.

    + 3+ years of experience with mechanical/electrical principles, test equipment, product life/performance test procedures and methods.

    + Knowledge of test concepts in the design and development of products and components.

    + Capability to lift and manipulate 50lbs.

    + Ability to travel between lab locations on foot or by vehicle if needed.

    + Interest and ability to use power tools to simulate consumer usage.

    + Ability to reach out to cross functional groups for reference or troubleshooting.

    + Strong mechanical mindset and aptitude. Some experience with using hand and shop tools is expected

    + Effectively manages multiple tasks to achieve desired outcomes and deliver to deadlines

    Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

    + Experience with Lithium Ion battery charging system methods and test environments.

    + Experience in using data acquisition equipment such as Agilent DAQ's/Hioki DAQ's.

    + Experience in viewing schematics and PCB layout files in an environment such as Altium.

    + Operate various lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and e-loads.

    + Experience with shaker and vibration test systems, including setup, operation, and data interpretation.

    + Ability to reach out to cross functional groups for reference or troubleshooting.
