    The Opportunity

     

    We’re seeking a** **hands-on, problem-solving Manufacturing Process Engineer** **who thrives on being close to the action — walking the floor, collaborating cross-functionally, and driving measurable improvement every day.

    In this role, you’ll:

    Own the process** **— from reviewing part drawings to defining controls, quality standards, and process flow.

     

    Optimize performance** **— identify and implement improvements that reduce waste, improve yield, and boost OEE.

     

    Lead change** **— support new product launches, process improvements, and capital projects that keep our fastener manufacturing at the forefront of innovation.

     

    You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values** **initiative, creativity, and practical problem solving** **— and you’ll see your ideas move quickly from concept to implementation.

     

    What You’ll Do

     

    Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, documentation, and quality controls (PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flows, Operation Sheets).

     

    Partner with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to solve problems and improve workflow efficiency.

     

    Analyze data (OEE, scrap, downtime) to drive decisions that improve safety, quality, and cost.

     

    Support plant layout optimization, tooling changes, and capital project justifications.

     

    Participate in continuous improvement efforts using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

     

    Contribute to process training and help build technical capability across the plant.

     

    What You Bring

     

    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.

     

    2+ years of experience in a** **manufacturing or process engineering** **environment.

     

    Experience with FMEA, Control Plan, and Process Flow documentation.

     

    Knowledge of** **Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimization** **principles.

     

    Hands-on experience with** **AutoCAD or SolidWorks** **.

     

    Strong communication and collaboration skills — able to lead from the floor.

     

    Experience with** **metal forming, cold heading, or machining** **a plus.

     

    Location

    This role is** **on-site** **at one of our fast-paced production facilities:

    Watertown, WI** **, or

     

    Machesney Park, IL

    Compensation Information:

    Salary range is $75,000 - $110,000 DOE. Along with great pay, we offer excellent insurance and perks - including top health benefits, 401(k) match, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement.
