Job Title: Financial Analyst 1Job Description
Join a dynamic team within the Product Development department focusing on finance at the intersection of business and product development initiatives. This role involves collaboration with Supply Chain and Accounting to evaluate business case scenarios for product designs and supplier investments, determining the financial requirements for product development.
Responsibilities
+ Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of bill of material and vendor investment costs related to future vehicles.
+ Develop effective bill of material management tools and segment large data sets into digestible metrics for cross-functional teams.
+ Review purchase requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with the financial plan.
+ Facilitate program team alignment and decision-making, presenting data in cohesive reports to communicate progress on key program milestones.
+ Participate in additional ad-hoc assignments and projects, including month-end financial reporting, long-term Business Plan development, benchmarking, and process analysis.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 2 years of experience with strong Excel modeling.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience with forecasting in Business Case scenario, NPD, or IRR calculation.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience with engineering development or automotive knowledge, understanding timelines from concept to production.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
+ 1-3 years of relevant experience, with at least 1 year directly supporting engineering, technology, or product teams.
+ Experience in product development, bill of materials, supply chain, or engineering preferred.
+ Proven technical, quantitative, and critical-thinking skills with independent judgment and creativity to communicate key performance drivers to senior management.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
+ Effective written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
+ Experience as a Finance Analyst at an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 Supplier is a significant advantage.
Work Environment
This position requires onsite work from Monday to Friday, offering an opportunity to collaborate with core owners of the Mid-Size platform and engage with various parts of the business, especially for those interested in product development and the automotive industry.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Newark, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $44.00/hr.
