    A large HVAC mechanical construction contracting company in Everett, WA in currently hiring for a Director of Logistics. The top and most important qualification requirements for this role is: 1) Fleet Management, 2) Transportation, and 3) Logistics experience. This position will have oversight of the warehouse, purchasing, tool rom, transportation, fleet, and facilities. This role will have 4 direct reports (Transportation Manager, Warehouse Manager, Tool Manager, and the Purchasing Manager). The Director of Logistics will oversee all logistics operations, including purchasing, warehousing, shipping/receiving, and the tool room. The role ensures the timely and accurate delivery of materials and products, while overseeing supply chain operations, including vendor management and compliance. This position requires strong leadership to guide the logistics team and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. This role will be 100% onsite to start in Everett, WA, but will most likely operate in a hybrid model in the future.

    Pay - $140k/yr. - $165k/yr. (Depending on relevant job titles, qualifications, tenure, industry, etc.)

     

    Location - Everett, WA (100% Onsite; Possibility for hybrid in the future)

     

    Schedule – Standard Monday - Friday Morning Shift (40 Hours a Week)

     

    (Summary of Key Responsibilities)

     

    + Logistics Management: Oversee all logistics operations, including purchasing, warehousing, shipping/receiving, and tool room. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products.

    + Supply Chain: Oversee all supply chain operations, including vendor management, terms and condition negotiation and ensuring compliance with our vendor programs.

    + Team Leadership: Lead and manage the logistics team, including Warehouse Manager, Tool Room Manager, Purchasing Manager, transportation, fleet, and facilities staff to provide guidance, support, and performance evaluations.

    + Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve logistics performance.

    + Budget Management: Develop and manage the logistics budget. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures.

    + Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures.

    + Technology Integration: Source, select, and utilize technology to improve logistics operations. Implement and manage logistics software and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

    (Qualification Requirements)

    + 10+ years of relevant experience.

    + (Must Have) - Fleet management experience

    + (Must Have) - Transportation & Logistics experience.

    + (Must Have) Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to motivate and develop a high-performing logistics team. This role will have 4 direct reports (Transportation Manager, Warehouse Manager, Tool Manager, and the Purchasing Manager).

    + (Highly Preferred) - Industry experience within HVAC, Construction, and/or Manufacturing.

    + Proficiency in logistics software and systems. Knowledge of inventory management, transportation management, and warehouse management systems.

    + Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and vendors.

    + Strong financial management skills. Ability to develop and manage budgets, analyze financial data, and implement cost-saving measures.

    + Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities. Flexibility to manage unexpected challenges and opportunities.

    + Ability to analyze data, identify trends, problem-solve, and make data-driven decisions.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and other stakeholders.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $165000.00/yr.
