We are currently seeking an SAP Master Data Analyst in the APN Master Data Team to support the Seed and Crop Chemical material master data based out of Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.

The SAP Data Management Team, part of the SAP Business Processes group within BASF’s North American Agricultural Division (APN/PO Manufacturing), is seeking a dedicated professional to support material master data management for Seed and Crop Chemical products. This role serves as a key liaison to support both global and regional business functions to ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely data.
The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to implement effective master data solutions—always with a focus on meeting customer needs. This position plays a critical role in maintaining data integrity and driving process excellence across the value chain.
As an SAP Master Data Analyst - Research Triangle Park, NC, You Create Chemistry By...
+ Learning and performing all core tasks of the APN Master Data Team and providing cross-team support.
+ Managing the material life cycle (creation, maintenance, cleansing, and sellout) in compliance with global, regional, and local requirements.
+ Ensuring data accuracy and integrity to support end-to-end supply-chain and operations processes.
+ Supporting cross-functional workstreams (OTC, P2P, MFG, PLN, SL, TM, WM, QM, FICO) and system upgrades (S/4HANA) to ensure seamless integration.
+ Analyzing large master-data sets to diagnose SAP issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
+ Identifying and implementing opportunities for simplification, standardization, and harmonization.
+ Building collaborative relationships with stakeholders to meet production and product-launch timelines.
+ Producing and maintaining documentation (regional processes, SOPs, job aids) and delivering training as needed.
+ Utilizing SQL and database concepts (relational models, queries, joins) for master-data management.
+ Supporting automation initiatives using RPA/VBA and SAP scripting tools.
+ Using advanced MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, and Teams for documentation, reporting, and communication.
+ Communicating effectively (written and verbal) with local, regional, and global teams.

+ Bachelor’s Degree plus 6-8 years of related work experience.
+ Strong SAP material-master experience (MM/SD/WM/PP/QM/Accounting/Costing views).
+ Proven experience in master-data lifecycle management.
+ Experience in manufacturing or chemical/agricultural industry preferred.
+ Project experience with system transitions, integrations, M&A, or divestitures.
+ Detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to work under tight go-live deadlines.
A plus if you have the following:
+ Experience with STIBO / MDM.
+ Proficiency in automation tools (RPA, VBA, scripting) and data tools (Power BI, advanced Excel).
+ SQL proficiency and understanding of database concepts.
