GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Conducts audits of statewide contract suppliers to determine if sales made under the statewide contract are reported accurately. These audits determine if any additional administrative fees are owed to Georgia Department of Administrative Services (DOAS). Responsible for evaluating compliance of suppliers with the statewide contracts related to the reporting of sales. Works closely with entity procurement officials and DOAS management to identify areas for improvement. Prepares concise audit summaries with accurate amounts of underreported sales and appropriate recommendations to management. The ideal candidate will have:

Job Responsibilities:
• Performs audits to ensure compliance with statewide contract reporting requirements.
• Prepares preliminary and final audit reports including identifying areas in need of improvement.
• Documents the results of their audit work.
• Assists with investigations of improprieties or issues with existing statewide contracts as needed.
• Provides training on reporting requirements of statewide contracts.
• Assists with the onboarding of suppliers.
• Assists with the creation of quarterly sales report templates as needed.
• Undertakes periodic special assignments.
• Assists in the merging and standardization of quarterly sales reports for data reporting purposes.
• Participates in business review meetings with suppliers.
• Analyzes statewide spend and purchase order data to identify anomalies and discrepancies.
• Communicates results of audit work to management and audited suppliers.
+ Maintains knowledge and stays abreast of current procurement activities through training, professional networks, organizations, and, publications.
MINIMUM ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of bachelor’s (four-year) college degree in business administration, accounting, political science, public administration, or a closely related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualification, possess one or more of the following as demonstrated on their resume:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, political science, mathematics or related field from an accredited college or university.
3 years of experience in a state or local government procurement, finance, or accounting department.
Experience using PeopleSoft Financials 9.1 or higher.
Experience using audit software.
Intermediate to advanced level of experience with Microsoft Excel with expertise working with pivot tables, advanced functions (e.g. VLOOKUP), data validation, and graphs.
This position may require some travel.
Completion of a pre-employment background check is required .
DOAS participates in a hybrid work environment and
Telework is encouraged with some days in the office required.

Bachelor's degree in business administration or a closely related field from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of professional job-related experience; or four (4) years of professional job-related experience; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Auditor/Examiner 1 (FIP030) or position equivalent.
