    We are seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to the design and development of scalable, resilient, and intelligent services that power mission-critical commerce and risk systems.     Responsibilities

    + **Build & Deliver:** Design, implement, and validate high-scale services that support near-real-time decision making.

    + **Risk & Fraud Protection:** Contribute to the development of intelligent workflows and systems that detect and prevent fraud while minimizing customer friction.

    + **Quality & Security:** Write clean, testable, and secure code aligned with engineering best practices and compliance standards.

    + **Collaboration:** Work with cross-functional engineering and product teams to deliver new capabilities that improve customer and partner experiences.

    + **Growth:** Actively learn from peers, seek feedback, and continuously improve technical skills and software development practices.

    Qualifications

    **Required** **Requirements** :

    + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 2+ years’ experience in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

    + 2+ years’ experience in design and implementation of large-scale cloud services

    Other Requirements:

    + Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements arerequired for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

    + Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    **Preferred** **Requirements** :

    + Experience with Azure cloud services, such as Azure App Service or Azure Kubernetes Service, or equivalent platforms.

    + Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, production-ready code.

    + Exposure to e-commerce, payments, or fraud prevention systems.

    + Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub workflows, and infrastructure-as-code.

    + Problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

     

    Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
