Microsoft is at the forefront of a new era in productivity, and Microsoft 365 Copilot is redefining how we build and deliver AI experiences. We are a small, focused team within MSAI Office of the CTO (OCTO) committed to driving Copilot Agility — accelerating how we innovate, build, and scale the Copilot platform across Microsoft. We are looking for a **Senior Software Engineer** who is passionate about developer agility and improving the speed, reliability, and efficiency of Copilot development. In this role, you will design and build backend, data, and ML systems that empower teams across E+D(M365 Core, OPG, GXP, etc) to develop and deploy Copilot capabilities with greater velocity and confidence. You’ll partner closely with other engineers, product managers, and applied scientists to identify bottlenecks, improve workflows, and deliver key initiatives such as the Copilot Data Platform.
The qualified candidate is an AI-forward engineer, who can ramp up quickly on new projects, thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, and make an immediate impact. You’ll contribute both to foundational engineering work and to AI adoption initiatives that drive agility across the Copilot ecosystem.
