Job Title: Python Developer

Hours/Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

Type: Contract

Overview

The Python Developer will support the creation and maintenance of internal tools and platforms that enhance computational workflows in a pharmaceutical R&D environment. This role involves developing new Python- and Jupyter-based applications, maintaining existing solutions, and collaborating with scientists and engineers to streamline the drug development process.

Responsibilities

+ Develop new applications using the established Jupyter framework for internal web tools.

+ Maintain and update existing applications, addressing bugs and feature enhancements.

+ Design and implement new widgets to expand framework functionality.

+ Integrate and visualize experimental and computational data within applications.

+ Build and maintain Python-based pipelines for data acquisition and workflow automation.

+ Collaborate with scientists and other stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver prototypes.

+ Work with APIs, databases, and internal data pipelines to ensure seamless data integration.

+ Document all code, workflows, and updates in line with internal quality standards.

Qualifications

+ Proficiency in Python and Jupyter Notebook development.

+ Experience with cheminformatics or scientific computing packages.

+ Familiarity with data visualization and integration techniques.

+ Knowledge of APIs, databases, and workflow automation tools.

+ Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary scientific teams.
