**Essential Duties/Responsibilities** :
+ Support all Central Engineering Requests, providing recommendations, coordinating internal and external testing, and creating or modifying technical documentation as needed.
+ Provide technical expertise regarding material selection, formulation, and material characterization in support of future value projects.
+ Develop new lab testing capabilities for test equipment, methods, and procedures to support product and process optimization, product evaluation and product development.
+ Provide advice on new material characterization and develop complete test plans
+ Coordinate and develop M-TEC and Materials Laboratory procedures, documentation to ensure compliance to ISO/IEC Guide 17025, ISO 9001, AS9100 and other certifications.
+ Represent M-TEC in audits and respond to findings. Develop new methods and processes to ensure non-conformances are not repeated.
+ Partner with reformulation team to evaluate existing and new raw materials for suitable replacements due to supplier manufacturing changes and/or obsolescence.
+ Train Laboratory technicians and engineering teams on new or updated test methods and testing techniques according to industry testing standards such as ASTM, ISO, EPA etc. or customer testing standards.
+ Develop new and updated raw material and formulation specifications for all products.
+ Represent M-TEC on various product and process teams.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally and provide recommendations and requirements for material properties, potential material failure modes, testing and specifications.
+ Support M-TEC and laboratory processes by maintaining databases, PLM, ERP, and LIMS systems to ensure efficient data management and workflow.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
+ Bachelors of Science in Engineering or appropriate technical field
Skills and Experience:
+ Minimum 3-6 years of experience in a Science/engineering role
+ Excellent attention to detail, organization, analytical, testing and communication skills.
+ Self-starter with ability to take multiple test projects simultaneously from start to completion.
+ Working knowledge of 3D Modelling/CAD drafting and measurement tools & methods.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
+ Skilled in use of statistical software.
