The Executive Director, Demand Planning & IBP Excellence serves as a strategic leader responsible for shaping, deploying, and continuously elevating the global demand planning and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) capabilities across The Estée Lauder Companies’
This role drives end-to-end alignment between demand, supply, and financial planning processes, embedding a disciplined IBP operating model that enhances forecast accuracy, agility, and decision-making across all regions and brands.
Acting as a transformation leader, the Executive Director partners cross-functionally with brands, regional, and affiliate leadership—as well as IT, Finance, and Supply Chain—to institutionalize world-class planning practices, tools, and performance management routines that unlock business value and operational excellence
The role focuses on process standardization, capability building, continuous improvement, change management and adoption within demand planning, enabling enhanced forecast accuracy, agility, and value creation across the supply chain. The incumbent partners closely with regions and affiliates, brand supply chain teams, and IT stakeholders to embed standardized ways of working and optimize system utilization to deliver business performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Own and evolve the global demand planning and IBP framework, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategic priorities and planning maturity objectives.
+ Define the global vision, roadmap, and governance for IBP capability enablement, including process standardization, operating cadence, and performance accountability.
+ Define, monitor, and continuously enhance IBP performance KPIs (e.g., forecast accuracy, bias, service levels, inventory turns, and plan adherence) by mentoring and upskilling regional and affiliate planning leaders to drive consistency, analytical rigor, and strategic foresight
+ Act as the executive sponsor for system enablement and process digitalization efforts (SAP, o9, Power BI, advanced analytics).
+ Establish global planning performance dashboards and governance routines to ensure accountability, transparency, and business alignment
+ Act as a process guardian for the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) framework, supporting the synchronization of demand, supply, and financial planning.
+ Serve as the primary business interface to Global IT, ensuring technology and processes are fully synchronized with business needs
+ Facilitate change management and adoption across diverse markets, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
+ 10 + years in demand-planning / fulfilment roles, with 5 + years leading continuous improvement or process-excellence projects in a multi-site, multi-region environment
+ Deep functional expertise in Demand Planning and forecasting, IBP, inventory optimization
+ Advanced proficiency in IBP tools (SAP, o9,…) and data‑visualisation (Power BI)
+ Change-agent mindset, strong workshop facilitation, crisp written process documentation, ability to influence across functions and cultures
