PROFESSOR OF PRACTICE, MUSICAL THEATER DANCE, SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY
The Department of Drama, within the College of Visual and Performing Arts, a highly ranked BFA program uniquely integrated with a major regional theater, seeks to hire a Professor of Practice in Dance for its Musical Theater Program. Core Responsibilities: teach a variety of levels and styles of dance applicable to contemporary musical theater performance. The preferred candidate will bring diverse perspectives to their pedagogy and will help the department to build a community of individuals from different backgrounds and walks of life. Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (BFA preferred) plus additional preparation, as demonstrated by either significant professional experience and/or relevant advanced degree, are required. This is a three-year position, beginning Fall 2026.
