POSITION OVERVIEW:
Marathon Petroleum Company has a full-time opening for an Electrician/Electrical Technician. This position reports to the Electrical Superintendent.
JOB DUTIES:
+ Troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment.
+ Troubleshoots and repairs Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and PLCs
+ Performs maintenance as per established written procedures.
+ Uses drawings, equipment manuals, procedures, and proper tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
+ Documents performance in test forms and condition reports.
+ Marks up drawings for as-built revision by drafting based upon field inspection.
+ Terminates motor connections
+ Troubleshoots motor controls
+ Reads schematics and logic diagrams
+ Conducts high voltage switching and grounding distribution systems
+ Conducts electrical testing and inspections
+ Uploads and downloads field data
+ Reads loop diagrams, logic diagrams, P&IDs
+ Programmable logic control experience
+ Reviews and re-writes procedures for electrical work
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ A valid driver's license
+ Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Electrician/Electrical Technician in refining, chemical, power industry, or related military experience is required
PAY AND BENEFITS:
Starting pay is $50.34-$54.30 per hour with highly competitive benefits including retirement and medical.
