Ebenezer, Minnesota’s largest senior living operator, is seeking a dynamic **Regional Director of Skilled Nursing Facility Operations** to lead and elevate the performance of our skilled nursing campuses. In this pivotal role, you’ll blend high-level strategic insight with hands-on leadership, guiding multiple facilities—including Transitional and Long-Term Care services—to deliver outstanding clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and an exceptional resident experience. The Regional Director of Skilled Nursing Facility Operations is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and performance of Ebenezer's Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), including Transitional and Long-Term Care services. This position directly supervises SNF Campus Administrators and the Director of SNF Admissions, ensuring excellence in care delivery, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance across all facilities. This leader serves as a critical bridge between discharging hospitals, post-acute SNFs, and Ebenezer's senior leadership, ensuring continuity of care, strong communication, and effective system integration. The role requires a blend of high-touch leadership at the site level and high-level strategic thinking for enterprise-wide SNF operations.
Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
+ Provide executive oversight for the operations of multiple SNF campuses, noting potential for future multistate expansion.
+ Lead campus Administrators and Director of SNF Admissions to meet and exceed quality, occupancy, financial, and regulatory goals.
+ Maintain a visible physical presence in SNFs, fostering a resident- and staff-centered culture, promoting trust, safety, and continuous improvement.
+ Set and drive annual goals and strategic action plans aligned with Ebenezer’s mission and system-wide initiatives.
+ Serve on and contribute to cross-functional committees, including Strategy Deployment, performance improvement teams, and enterprise task forces.
Financial & Business Management
+ Oversee development and management of operational and capital budgets for each SNF.
+ Monitor and improve PDPM reimbursement, staffing cost alignment, and financial performance.
+ Drive successful SNF revenue cycle optimization through PBJ reporting, CMS 5-Star optimization and optimization of PDPM / managed care rates.
+ Lead third-party vendor relationships, contract negotiation, and supply chain management to ensure cost-effective and quality services, inclusive of being relationship-holder for therapy companies.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Improvement
+ Ensure compliance with all State of Minnesota and Federal CMS regulations, inclusive of OBRA, Life Safety Code, and F-Tag standards.
+ Accountable to ensure excellence in QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement), PIPPs, CMS 5-Star optimization, and Minnesota Quality Indicator Report initiatives and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.
+ Support campuses in preparing for and responding to state and federal surveys and audits.
+ Design multidisciplinary processes that enhance outcomes reflected in CMS 5-Star Ratings, MN Nursing Home Report Card, and SNF Compare benchmarks.
Talent & Culture Leadership
+ Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing campus leadership teams.
+ Guide labor union negotiations and contract implementation where applicable.
+ Develop strategies for staff engagement, retention, and the cultivation of a healthy and inclusive workplace culture.
+ Promote resident- and employee-focused practices that drive satisfaction, safety, and community.
Clinical & Customer Experience Excellence
+ Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams to ensure quality and safety of resident care.
+ Partner closely with hospitals and care partners to support smooth transitions of care, optimize length of stay, and improve outcomes for post-acute patients.
+ Champion outstanding customer service and resident/family experience across all facilities.
Promotes and participates in Employee Engagement.
+ Establishes and promotes good working relationships.
+ Adheres to Corporate HR Policy and administers them fairly.
+ Monitors employee satisfaction through retention/turnover/ surveys.
+ Provides ongoing support and encourages professional development of leadership team.
+ Coordinates with the Corporate HR structure to assure the best support for the SNF's.
+ Monitors turnover/retention/recruitment strategies along with open positions and expenses related to staffing concerns.
Required Qualifications
+ B.S./B.A. LTC Administration, Management, Human Services, Nursing or related
+ 7 years of progressive SNF Operations leadership experience
+ Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) by BELTSS or Licensed Health Services Executive (LHSE) by BELTSS Board upon hire.
+ Current Driver’s License (in good standing)
Preferred Qualifications
+ MBA, MHA or related
+ Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD)

Compensation Disclaimer
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
