Job Description
We are looking for a Benefits Analyst 1 who will support vendor billing and compliance processes to help Nordstrom deliver a seamless, trusted benefits experience for all employees. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service by identifying gaps in team capabilities and taking proactive steps to address them. You’ll gather and analyze relevant data to understand emerging needs, align processes with the customer journey, and ensure consistent, high-quality support across benefit programs. Clear, concise communication and a focus on continuous improvement are essential to success in this role.
A day in the life...
+ Effectively partners and collaborates with cross functional teams, including benefit Plan Owners and finance.
+ Supports compliance related projects by ensuring adherence to established repeatable regulatory and policy requirements through consistent execution of standardized processes and controls.
+ Owns the end-to-end accounts payable process for all benefit plans, including self-bill arrangements, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation, invoicing, and payment execution
+ Ensures documents are current and accurately reflect plan rules
+ Flexes to support benefits projects as needed
+ Provides back up for other benefits functions as needed, such as the Years of Service program, Employee Relief Fund, etc..
+ Raises trends and complex escalations to appropriate plan/program owners
+ Provide administrative support, such as maintaining and filing benefits documents and escalations
+ Reporting and tracking of various benefits programs, projects, and initiatives
You own this if you have...
+ 2+ years of experience in human resources, benefit administration, payroll, compensation, or related field
+ Experience managing projects or programs of moderate to medium complexity
+ Effective collaboration skills, including establishing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels of the organization and with external vendor partners
+ Effective time management and organization skills enabling ability to deliver on multiple competing priorities
+ Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to work independently in a team environment
+ Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including the ability to deliver presentations
Location:
This is a hybrid role requiring the selected candidate live within a commutable distance the Nordtrom corporate offices in Seattle, WA and work onsite four (4) days per week.

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Washington: $77,969 - $110,500 Annually
This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
