Overview
The Health Compliance DOT Coordinator supports the implementation and monitoring of DOT health and safety compliance programs. This role assists in maintaining records, coordinating testing, and ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations under the guidance of senior compliance staff.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in ensuring company adherence to DOT PHMSA/FMCSA federal regulations.
+ Support the administration of drug and alcohol testing programs (pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion).
+ Help maintain driver qualification files, including license, medical certifications and CDL medical cards.
+ Participate in internal audits and assist in preparing documentation for compliance reviews.
+ Coordinate with third-party administrators and medical professionals for testing and certification processes.
+ Contribute to the development and delivery of training materials related to DOT health compliance.
+ Monitor regulatory updates and assist in communicating changes to relevant stakeholders.
+ Respond to basic inquiries regarding driver records and compliance documentation.
+ Assist in preparing reports for regulatory agencies.
+ Maintain confidentiality and support requests related to audits, litigation, or regulatory holds.
+ Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate metrics and performance indicators are maintained.

Basic Qualifications
Coordinator l
+ Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience on a year for year basis.
+ Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
+ Ability to coordinate a large amount of data points from various platforms and sources
+ Ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers and external partners
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze regulatory requirements
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload with minimal amount of supervision
+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others as needed
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
+ Basic understanding of DOT/FMCSA/PHMSA regulations
+ Experience in DOT federal regulations with the ability to read, interpretate, and search regulations (DOT, OSHA, etc.)
+ Experience of Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) regulations as they apply to gas operations, driver and vehicle qualifications and drug and alcohol testing and related compliance issues
+ Exposure to federal compliance and auditing
+ Analytical, problem-solving, and decision- making skills.
Coordinator II
+ Bachelor's degree with a minimum of one year of experience in records management, DOT compliance or Auditing.
+ Associate's Degree with a minimum of three years of experience in records management, DOT, or compliance auditing.
+ Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA/PHMSHA regulations
