We’re looking for a **Desktop Technician** to join our team.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on **IT Hardware Technician** to join our team supporting a customer’s hardware operations. This role is responsible for the repair, maintenance, shipping/receiving, and inventory tracking of computer equipment. Candidates must be certified in DELL and HP hardware repair, with Apple certification preferred.
Responsibilities
+ Perform diagnostics, testing, and repair of DELL, HP, and Apple laptops, desktops, and mini desktops.
+ Visually inspect equipment for damage or excessive wear.
+ Use ServiceNow to review warranty status and log repair activities.
+ Clean and refurbish devices as needed.
+ Order replacement parts as needed.
+ Apply inventory labels and document equipment updates.
+ Store repaired equipment on designated shelves.
+ Fulfill internal hardware orders by packing and shipping equipment.
+ Receive incoming shipments, unbox equipment, and update records in ServiceNow.
+ Organize and shelve received hardware in the appropriate storage areas.
+ Properly retire and document obsolete or damaged equipment.
Skills & Qualifications
+ **Required:** DELL and HP hardware repair certifications.
+ **Preferred:** Apple hardware certification.
+ Proven experience in IT hardware support, computer repair, or depot services.
+ Familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work independently and follow standard operating procedures.
+ This role involves hands-on work with physical hardware, lifting and moving equipment, and working in a technical repair or depot setting.
Wage Range** **:
The hourly rate for this position is between $15.76 - $23.12 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
