    Overview

     

    The Operations Director I is responsible for providing overall leadership for all aspects of an assigned facility to include warehousing, transportation, finance, and administration.

    Primary Responsibilities

    + Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of various departments in the organization

    + Review financial statements and data and utilize data to improve profitability

    + Prepare and control operational budgets

    + Control total inventory management by ensuring the compliance of receiving and inventory control procedures; Develop/recommend alterations to procedures and best practices as warranted

    + Plan effective strategies for the financial wellbeing of the company

    + Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals

    + Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures

    + Coordinate and monitor the work of various departments involved in production, warehousing, pricing and distribution of goods

    Additional Primary Responsibilities

    + Monitor warehouse performance and implement improvements

    + Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity

    + Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery

    + Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of support services

    + Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity

    + Implement and manage operational plans

    + Perform other related duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Bachelor s Degree and 7 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    + Strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills

    + Valid state motor vehicle operator s license and the ability to obtain and maintain auto-liability insurance in accordance with state laws

    + Experience in wholesale or operational management or other related industries

    + Demonstrated knowledge of SAP system or similar system

    Physical Demands

    + Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine

    + Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping

    + May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs
