    Custom Job Purpose:

    This position exists to perform independent duties including receipt, inventory, storage, and issuance of TASSEL donations.

     

    Essential Functions of this Job

     

    Plans, organizes, and directs the delivery of TASSEL donation items at a centrally located area to and from community partners and/or school sites. Communicates with the Warehouse Worker to schedule the pickup and delivery of donations. Communicates directly with donation sites if additional pickups are needed. Collects donations from the donors, ensures items are sorted and inventoried appropriately, as well as repacks donations to redistribute to community partners. Anticipates the need for specific donations and communicates this with the TASSEL Coordinator. Follows up and contacts existing community partners to fill low inventory needs. Maintains the secure storage of donations. Inventories all donations. Completes and maintains records accurately. Submits reports as needed. Supervises TASSEL volunteers.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Experience in shipping, receiving, storekeeping, property control or related areas. Ability to communicate effectively with people. Proficient with database management (i.e. Excel). Bilingual/biliterate preferred.

     

    Education, Experience and/or Certification/License Requirements

     

    Graduation from an accredited high school or vocational school. Possession of the appropriate State of Florida Driver's License for pick-up and delivery of materials using TASSEL vehicle.

    Work Context:

    Requires sitting, standing, walking and moving about to coordinate work. Requires face-to-face discussions and contact with students, individuals and/or teams. Requires the use of alternative communication systems, such as electronic mail, telephones and computers. Requires coordination of work tasks to establish priorities, set goals and meet deadlines. Requires work with both internal and external contacts, and with the public.

    Physical Environment:

    Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions and in a warehouse setting. Requires moving and standing for the majority of the day, and the ability to lift, carry, move and/or position objects frequently weighing up to 20 pounds and infrequently between 20 and 50 pounds. Requires frequent travel to schools and worksites within the district and to various community partners.
