Overview
At QuickBooks, world-class design helps power the success of small to mid-market businesses around the world. Our content designers are involved in every step of a project—from gathering insights, brainstorming, prototyping, and experimentation to launching pixel-perfect designs. And we’re innovating through exploring the use of AI tools in order to make every interaction delightfully simple.
This role is for an experienced (senior level) content designer who will help lead the work on the Mid-market team, partnering with other UX designers to drive strategies for voice, tone, patterns, and accessibility; and partnering with product, technical, legal, and compliance partners to create effective and engaging content experiences.
This content designer will have the advantage of working on a high-performing/high impact team and will be able to learn through peer review, feedback, and access to our industry-leading content design site, a source of truth for voice, tone, style, and principles.
Responsibilities

+ Transform complex financial jargon into conversational, approachable language.
+ Craft UI text, product messaging, landing pages, emails, and other project deliverables.
+ Help our partners understand the QuickBooks voice and tone system--through examples, training, and review sessions.
+ Collaborate effectively with other designers, content strategists, product managers, marketers, and researchers. We are one big team, and we value everyone’s insights.
+ Eagerly solicit feedback and contribute constructively to design reviews.
+ Advance a strong point of view, backed up by personal expertise, design rationale, customer data, and industry trends.
+ Explore tons of ideas and then narrow to 2 or 3 based on experimentation and customer research.
+ Work on multiple projects at a time, using strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately.
Qualifications
+ 3-5 years of experience in content design, content strategy, or related field
+ Deep knowledge of content design principles and methods. You are a designer who works with words.
+ Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results.
+ Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator.
+ Excellent verbal and written English skills.
+ A strong portfolio demonstrating your craft and collaborative process.
