Summary:
The Inpatient Clinical Manager is a member of the Interdisciplinary team that works under the direction of the VP of Clinical Excellence and Innovation. The primary role of this position is to develop and ensure that individual and group therapy services, structured rehabilitative programming, and daily unit activities are therapeutically effective, evidence-based, and aligned with regulatory and accreditation standards. The Clinical Manager leads a multidisciplinary team—including therapists, clinical associates and program staff—focused on stabilizing patients, promoting recovery, and enhancing functional outcomes. This role also plays a critical part in clinical supervision, program and policy development, performance improvement, and fostering a safe, structured, and therapeutic milieu that is aligned with Acadia’s Unified Philosophy of Care.
Responsibilities:
+ Ensures the delivery of comprehensive individual and group therapy services in accordance with treatment plans and best clinical practices.
+ Manages Clinician productivity, while providing case consultation, clinical reviews and making recommendations for interventions with complicated and repeating clients.
+ Manages Clinical Associate productivity, while providing guidance on complicated dispositions.
+ Ensures assessment, treatment planning, and discharge planning on all patients served is completed according to regulations, Hospital/Healthcare policies and client/family perceptions of needs. Ensures documentation includes clear, concise communication of updated diagnoses, progress towards recovery, and treatment recommendations to patient and patient’s primary care provider.
+ Develops and oversees implementation of department hiring process, orientation for new clinicians and unit programming staff.
+ Designs, implements, and evaluates daily structured programming that supports patient engagement, recovery goals, and psychosocial functioning consistent with the Unified Philosophy of Care. Ensures programming is delivered consistently across all units 7 days per week.
+ Facilitates onboarding, training, and continuing education opportunities to promote clinical excellence and staff retention.
+ Completes of Employee evaluations in timely manner.
+ Identifies areas of improvement and growth for group programming, unit processes, and policy in collaboration with unit leaders.
+ Collaborates with LPs, nursing staff, case managers, and other disciplines to coordinate integrated, patient-centered care and to monitor program effectiveness, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.
+ Champions patient rights, trauma-informed care, and recovery-oriented treatment approaches.
+ Establishes and maintains program practices that facilitate consistent communication and collaboration with Acadia Hospital programs, community provider systems and contracted entity providers.
+ Extends Opportunities for employees to enhance professional, leadership and supervisory skills.
+ Ensures department-wide, consistent and appropriate use of approved, validated screening tools, including risk assessment as required.
