+ BAE Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Open-Source Integration Architect to influence the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available open-source integration solutions for our growing Enterprise Integration Services team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in open-source technologies and a strong background in CI/CD pipelines and production deployments.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Design and implement end-to-end open-source integration solutions using platforms like Apache Camel, Apache Kafka, and similar technologies.
+ Lead the architecture and implementation of CI/CD pipelines for integration solutions to ensure efficient and reliable production deployments.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements and develop technical solutions that meet business needs.
+ Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and deployment guides.
+ Provide technical leadership and guidance on open-source integration projects, enforcing best practices and open-source compliance.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues in production environments, working with development and operations teams to implement fixes and enhancements.
+ Develop and maintain testing and validation procedures to ensure solution quality and reliability.
+ Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in open-source integration, applying new knowledge to continuously improve existing solutions and develop innovative ones.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Typical Education and Experience
+ Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and at least 4 years of professional experience, or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Education
+ U.S. Citizenship is required.
+ A minimum of 4 years of experience with software development, installation, and configuration management.
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in system and application integration, with a strong focus on open-source platforms.
+ Essential: 2 years of hands-on experience with open-source integration platforms such as Apache Camel, Apache Kafka, etc.
+ Strong understanding of integration architectures, including pub/sub, API gateways, and canonical standards.
+ Proven experience with CI/CD and production deployments, specifically with Git and either Flex Deploy or Jenkins.
+ Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps principles and tools.
+ Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for integration solutions.
+ Experience with historian concepts, monitoring (SolarWinds, Splunk) and logging tools.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Preferred Skills
+ At least 6 years of experience working with software, including development, configuration management, and production support.
+ At least 4 years of experience in system and application integration with a focus on open-source integration platforms.
+ Experience with webMethods is a bonus.
+ Familiarity with on-premise, VM-based UNIX operating systems and the ability to develop and debug basic shell scripts.
+ Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
+ Experience designing and supporting hybrid integration solutions involving on-premise and cloud components.
+ Strong understanding of security protocols and the ability to collaborate with external partners on authentication and authorization design.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77814 - $132283
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
