Job Description

A rapidly expanding worldwide Manufacturing company is looking for a 2nd shift CNC Milling Set up/Operator (4x10: 6:00am - 4:30pm M-Th) for permanent placement in Arvada, CO. The Machinist will play a crucial role in the fabrication of custom metal parts, including complex covers, casing, and caps for use in industrial fluid transfer, like Oil and Gas. Main responsibilities include setting up and operating a Mori Seki Horizontal mill. Materials will mainly be stainless/hardened steel but sometimes include exotic metals like Titanium, Inconel, and Hastelloy. They will also be a valuable part of the prove out process and work with Manufacturing Engineers to improve procedures. They will inspect products using micrometers, dial indicators, surface plate, profilometers, and optical comparators. Candidates will need to be able to work independently and have the ability to learn and apply new information. 2nd shift will start on 1st Shift (6:00am - 4:30pm M-Th) for training until up to speed (1-3 months) before moving to 2nd shift (4:00pm – 2:30am M-Th).

The position has room for advancement within the company. PTO includes 80 hours, plus 48 hours sick leave and 14 holidays per calendar year.

Skills and Requirements

HS Diploma/GED

5+ years of experience in full machine setup with CNC Mill (4 or 5 axis)

Ability to read, interpret, and make minor edits to G&M Code
