Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Governance Program Manager to lead the development and implementation of governance frameworks across gas, electric, and business systems. This role is critical in elevating existing governance structures, integrating data governance principles, and ensuring cross-functional alignment and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Governance Framework Development:

o Stand up and formalize governance processes from the ground up.

o Build and lead governance forums that foster participation and buy-in across departments.

o Define and implement measures of success for governance initiatives.

• Cross-System Integration:

o Collaborate with gas, electric, and business units to unify governance efforts.

o Ensure governance processes are inclusive of both existing systems and future enhancements.

• Program Governance Leadership:

o Apply program governance expertise to oversee and guide multiple initiatives.

o Lead the development of governance documentation, workflows, and escalation paths.

o Manage requests across departments (e.g., gas and electric) through standardized governance channels.

• Data Governance Implementation:

o Integrate data governance principles into broader program governance.

o Ensure data integrity, compliance, and stewardship across systems.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

o Facilitate governance forums and workshops to drive alignment and decision-making.

o Serve as a liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.

• Continuous Improvement:

o Monitor governance effectiveness and refine processes based on feedback and performance metrics.

o Capture lessons learned and incorporate them into future system requirements and governance models.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in building and leading governance programs from inception.

• Strong understanding of program governance, data governance, and enterprise systems.

• Experience working across utility sectors (gas, electric) and business operations.

• Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Familiarity with GIS systems and their governance requirements is a plus.

• Ability to lead cross-functional forums and drive consensus.
