    Job Description

    A client of Insight Global is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support enterprise-level network operations and engineering efforts. This role involves daily hands-on work with network integration, testing, and security engineering, ensuring systems meet STIG compliance standards. The engineer will collaborate with network architects to define and maintain secure configuration baselines, validate automation opportunities, and contribute to the development of SOPs and TTPs. Responsibilities include system performance tuning, continuous service improvement, and maintaining Engineering Implementation Plans. The role also supports incident escalation and root cause analysis, bridging operations and engineering teams to ensure production readiness of new solutions. Candidates should have experience with firewalls, VPNs, IPS, load balancers, routers, switches, WANX devices, and a strong background in enterprise network engineering, solution implementation, and transition to operations.

    Compensation:

    $38/hr to $40/hr.

     

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Top Secret Clearance

    • Security+ (8570 or 8140)

    • Bachelors Degree and 4 years of experience OR 8 years of experience in networking

    • Experience working in network layer 3, specifically with Juniper products

    • Strong understanding of Cisco Voice Call Manager

    • Experience providing engineering solutions for a enterprise level network

    • Experience with network integration, testing, security engineering and implementation configuration support
