    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking an onsite Accountant for a law firm in Irving, Texas. This role will be onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM. This position will report directly to 4 partners of the firm and to the Firm Administrator. Strong written and verbal communications are required with a strong attention to detail.

    Main responsibilities include:

    •Manage accounts payable and receivable, including coding, aging, and payment processing

    •Perform daily deposits and bank reconciliations across multiple entities

    •Prepare payroll data for ADP and oversee periodic payroll execution

    •Maintain general ledger and produce monthly financial statements

    •Reconcile general ledger accounts and client expense ledgers

    •Serve as liaison with external auditors, CPA firm, and insurance carriers

    •Assist with income tax preparation and financial reporting signoffs

    •Handle banking activities and maintain relationships with financial institutions

    •Ensure timely payment of premiums and compliance with insurance requirements

    •Support special projects related to AP/AR and financial analysis

    Skills and Requirements

     

    5+ years of accounting experience with strong understanding of GAAP and legal accounting standards

     

    Familiarity with legal billing structures (contingency and hourly)

     

    Expertise with Excel and QuickBooks

     

    Prior payroll experience

     

    Ability to handle the accounting duties for multiple entities

     

    Strong verbal and written skills

     

    Ability to work effectively with very limited supervision

     

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field Experience supporting a Personal Injury law firm
