Description
The Senior Director of Sales and Marketing will lead all sales and marketing efforts to drive volume, revenue, and brand growth across our beverage portfolio. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans that align with company goals, building strong customer and distributor relationships, and leading a high-performing team. The ideal candidate brings deep beverage industry experience, a passion for brand-building, and a proven ability to deliver results in both on- and off-premise channels.
Responsibilities:
+ Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to increase market share, drive revenue growth, and elevate brand visibility across all channels.
+ Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to sales and marketing teams, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
+ Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key on-premise partners to support long-term business objectives.
+ Oversee the planning and execution of trade marketing programs, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns to maximize brand impact.
+ Collaborate closely with brand suppliers to align on strategic goals, budget allocations, and activation plans.
+ Analyze market trends, category data (IRI, Nielsen, VIP), and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and inform decision-making.
+ Ensure sales execution standards are consistent and met across all channels.
+ Lead innovation initiatives and go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
+ Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and reporting to leadership.
+ Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and with key accounts.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA strongly preferred.
+ 8+ years of progressive sales and marketing leadership experience in the beverage industry, with a demonstrated ability to deliver results.
+ Deep understanding of three-tier distribution, retail dynamics, and trade marketing.
+ Strong existing relationships with wholesalers, retailers, and supplier partners within the beverage industry.
+ Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving brand growth, and leading high-performing teams.
+ Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills.
+ Proficiency in sales and market analytics tools, including IRI, Nielsen, VIP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Willingness and ability to travel as required to support business objectives and relationship management.
